MMTH  051 Pre Algebra  | Course Outcomes
Offered FL SP SM Lecture-4 (4 credit hrs/ 4 contact hrs) For students without previous algebra experience. Curriculum will include operations with whole numbers, fractions, decimals, and percents. Problem solving, estimation, and reasoning skills will be developed and applied to elementary graphs, statistics, geometry, and unit conversions. Culminating material will include operations with algebraic expressions and solving equations.

MMTH  120 Introductory Algebra  | Course Outcomes
Offered FL SP SM Lecture-4 (4 credit hrs/ 4 contact hrs) (Prerequisite: MMTH 051 "C" or better or satisfactory score on ACT/ASSET math test) For students with limited algebra experience Curriculum will include solving algebraic equations, operations with polynomials, and extensive factoring of polynomials. Graphical solutions for linear and quadratic equations will be explored, including slope, intercepts, and inequalities. Culminating material will include solving rational, radical, and systems of equations.

MMTH  121 Intermediate Algebra  | Course Outcomes
Offered FL SP SM Lecture-4 (4 credit hrs/ 4 contact hrs) (Prerequisite: MMTH 120 "C" or better or satisfactory score on ACT/ASSET math test)For students with moderate algebra experience. Curriculum will include operations with linear equations, factoring polynomials, and graphical techniques. Solutions to rational, radical, quadratic, and systems of equations will be developed thoroughly. Culminating material will include operations with exponential and logarithmic functions.

MMTH  122 Analytical Trigonometry  | Course Outcomes
Offered FL SP Lecture-2 (2 credit hrs/ 2 contact hrs) (Pre/Corequisite: MMTH 121 or satisfactory score on ACT or ASSET math test) Study will include a review of rectangular coordinates, relations, functions, inverse functions, the unit circle, the circular functions, trigonometric equations, the inverse trigonometric functions, angles, and their trigonometric functions, right triangle trigonometry, the sine law, the cosine law, and applications.

MMTH  123 Introduction to Statistics  | Course Outcomes
Offered FL SP Lecture-3 (3 credit hrs/ 3 contact hrs) (Prerequisite: MMTH 120 Intro to Algebra or satisfactory score on ACT or ASSET math test)Basic theory of statistics including: data analysis, probability, random variables, sampling techniques, tests of hypotheses, confidence intervals, linear regression and correlation.

MMTH  126 Math for Elementary Teaching I  | Course Outcomes
Offered FL Lecture-3 (3 credit hrs/ 3 contact hrs) (Prerequisite: MMTH 121 with "C" or better or satisfactory score on ACT or ASSET) Designed for majors in elementary education and teacher assistant program. Includes sets, numeration systems, properties of natural numbers, algorithms for operations with natural numbers, rational numbers and decimals.

Offered SP SM Lecture-3 (3 credit hrs/ 3 contact hrs) (Prerequisite: MMTH 121 Inter Algebra "C" or better or satisfactory score on ACT or ASSET)Designed for majors in elementary education and teacher assistant program. The course The course will cover statistics, probabilities, geometric figures, measurement, area and perimeter, volume and surface area, congruency and mapping.

MMTH  222 Analytical Geometry & Calculus I  | Course Outcomes
Offered FL Lecture-5 (5 credit hrs/ 5 contact hrs) (Prerequisite: MMTH 151 or satisfactory score on ACT or ASSET math test) Unified course in analytic geometry and calculus. Equations and graphs, functions, algebra of functions, limits, rate of change, derivatives, differentiation of algebraic functions, applications of differentiation, indefinite and definite integration, applications of the definite integrals, transcendental functions, and methods of integration.

MMTH  223 Analytical Geometry and Calculus II | Course Outcomes
Offered SP Lecture-5 (5 credit hrs/ 5 contact hrs) (Prerequisite: MMTH 222 Analytical Geometry & Calculus I) Continuation of MMTH 222. Plane analytic geometry, hyperbolic functions, polar coordinates, infinite series, McClaurin series, Taylor series and applications, complex valued functions, vectors and vector functions, vector calculus, 3-space analytic geometry determinates, matrix algebra, and eigenvalues.

MMTH  224 Analytical Geometry & Calculus III  | Course Outcomes
Offered FL Lecture-3 (3 credit hrs/ 3 contact hrs) (Prerequisite: MMTH 223 Analytical Geometry & Calculus II) Continuation of MMTH 223. Multivariate calculus. Functions of two or more variables and their derivatives, applications of partial derivatives, multiple integrals, vector fields, and introduction to differential equations.

MMTH  231 Differential Equations  | Course Outcomes
Offered SP Lecture-3 (3 credit hrs/ 3 contact hrs) (Prerequisite: MMTH 224 Analytical Geometry & Calculus III) Solutions and applications of differential equations of the first order, second order linear equations, series solutions, eigenvalues, eigenvectors and applications to system of differential equations, LaPlace transforms, and numerical methods.

MMTH  298 Independent Study: Mathematics  | Course Outcomes
Offered as needed (3-6 credit hrs/ 3-6 contact hrs) (Prerequisite: Approved application) A course designed to provide a student with a valuable experience of independent research, analysis, and reporting that will enhance the grasp of a subject and develop the motivation, skills and discipline of independent work (1-6 credits). The instructor and the appropriate Dean must approve the Independent Study.
